1st Prize at Annual Research Conference

Yesterday I won 1st prize in the Scientific Poster Competition at the University of Wolverhampton Annual Research Conference #ARC2019 for my poster titled “Challenging Common Misconceptions about Urban Wildlife” about my research into the use of urban fringe woodlands by bats. You can check out the poster on ResearchGate here: https://lnkd.in/gHGiEey Emily Elwell, also from UoW won second place! Our colleague Ed O’Malley presented a poster on his work with caecilians and Remi Martin gave a talk on his work with lizards, so Animal Behaviour and Wildlife Conservation research at the university was really well-represented yesterday. I was very proud of our team! I want to thank my supervisors Lynn Besenyei, Chris Young and Simon Maddock as well as our other colleagues in #ABWCJournalClub – Stefano Vaglio, Mark O’Shea, Kate Tobin and Jordan Champ for being there to support us.
